The Global Tracheostomy Collaborative is a Quality Improvement Collaborative that takes the best bits of tracheostomy care that we know about around the world and helps staff, managers, patients and their families rapidly implement them into healthcare settings. The Global Tracheostomy Collaborative has a set of key drivers that it helps hospitals to implement and then patient-level data is collected to demonstrate how the sites are doing. We can measure and analyse data that tells us how sites are doing when it comes to the quality and safety of care, focussing on the things that patients tell us are important. The Global Tracheostomy Collaborative can compare sites around the world and then encourage sites to share and learn best practices if the data tells us there are areas that they could improve in. You can read more about the Global Tracheostomy Collaborative on their website.
